Frequently asked questions
How can I commission an editorial portrait session?
Please reach out to me via danielrgryphon@gmail.com or the contact form below. Every portrait commission begins with a consultation about our collaboration. We'll arrange to sit down over coffee or tea, then set the details of your session, which will usually occur within one month of the consultation.
Can I commission a headshot session without a formal creative consultation?
Sure. Corporate and creative headshot sessions skip the design consultation. I shoot them on location or in my studio and turn the edited images around quickly.
How much do your services cost?
Headshots sessions start at $275 and the prices range from there. Email me or complete the contact form below and I'll send you a pricing guide with all the prices and details for each service on offer.
What is the delivery timeline for portraits, headshots or fine art pieces?
I will discuss in consultation with each client their specific delivery timeline. In general, digital portfolios, including editorial portraits and headshots, are delivered via a curated archive within 7 business days. For physical fine-art pieces like cyanotype portraits, I aim to deliver these one-of-a-kind artworks within one month.
Are your studio and photojournalism commissions limited to St. John's?
While my darkroom and primary portrait studio are based here in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, my editorial portraiture, headshots, photojournalism and fine-art commissions are fully mobile. I'm available for regional, national, and worldwide travel to fulfil your vision and tell your story right - especially important for editorial portraits.
